at least half-an-inch gap is there between the lowest blade and the bottom and if you are looking for using this one for small quantities of onions, you will end up with having uncut onion pieces at the bottom of the box. Not a fault, but this one is not good enough for small quantity chopping.

I have been using this product since last 2 years and it has made my job very easy..this is a must have for kitchen.....I wish I had bought this earlier... Material is very strong. I have bought pigeon also but I liked the quality of prestige...blades are still sharp after 2 years of use.. it fell few times but didn't broke though got a crack..but can't use it cutting beans .. I use it for onions, carrot, cabbage etc... Very easy to handle also.
