Difficult to make dosas initially. But once you are used to it, then its easy.Important to know:Need to be on low flame for 15/20 minutes. Then continue making dosas on low flame.

I am a chef and wanted a cast iron tava for a while. Purchased this product about 4 months ago, this is a honest review.A cast iron is a good choice because the heat displacement is even, ensuring even cooking. But this cast iron, does not evenly spread the heat. Most of the dishes cooked in this gets burnt in the center. I've tried it with 5 or six different flame types, with the same result. It's probably because the thickness is less. While it promises 6mm thickness, the fact is that it's got a 6mm bezel but otherwise its less than that. Not really a great usable product. Still wondering what to do with it.

I’m writing this review after using it for 2 years … the pros , it’s a healthy choice when compared to non stick , like all things in life this tawa too needs a little bit of care and love ?? … I saw a lot of negative reviews regarding cracks etc … first off DO NOT WASH UR TAWA WHEN ITS HOT … this cracks it …. Second DONT SCRUB IT WITH AN IRON SPONG OR HARD LIKE SCRUBBER …. And the most important of all …. AFTER EVERY USE SEASON IT ( I use Gingelly oil) wipe it with a kitchen roll dipped in oil and it’s as good as new …. Minus one star for the weight , everything can’t be perfect right ??

The product did not loose its quality and the maintainable is so simple.Highly Recommend.For first time users: just follow the instructions provided in manual included in package.Note: Do not heat up the tawa too much. Mataining the heat proportion is important for perfect dosas

It's been two and a half months, I'm using this pan and till date it leaves rust. Every single day, I have to apply oil after washing it, just so that it doesn't give out rust. It was a waste of money. Bad product

All the synonyms for EXCELLENT are apt for this cast iron cookware...I ordered both, the dosa tawa flat of 14 inches and the curved 9 inches.I have shared the pictures of 14 inches, he is the hero of my kitchen among the other products from Silkrute.????Thank you Bhagya, atmost care is shown while packing. Safe and good packing for both.I had to season the 14inches for a couple of days and it was worth it...Crispy hotel style dosas fly out from the kitchen to the dining table.Happiness know no boundaries.
