The steel is heavy and of good quality. There is a little problem when we have to close the cooker. You need to apply pressure on the opposite side of the cover in order to close it. If the cooker is hot and on the gas we need to be really careful. Otheriwse it's a good product . The cover has a dip in the middle so extra water or liquid doesn't flow down the sides.

If you want a cooker to cook food for 1 or 2 people (who eat small quantity of food) then go for it. This is a really good design and cooks rice for 2 people in less than 15 minutes! Also, its really cute and easy to handle plus the lid design is good and prevents spills on the cooktop, to a large extent. But please note that it can only cook around 3/4 cup of dal/rice at one time. So if u need to cook larger quantities, this may not be that helpful.
