It felt like a big risk buying it after reading all the horror stories about the defective lid technology and pressure vent bursting. However, I had seen a YouTuber use it for recipe videos and it seemed fine enough. I bought it for its versatility and ease of storage. Not having a long cooker like handle is a big plus point. There was absolutely no struggle with the lid. Instructions should have been there regarding how to close the lid properly, as there are so many negative feedbacks about it. The safety valve needs to be towards your right hand side. Then the little dot like bump on the lid needs to align with the mark on the right handle. That's all there is to it. The lid closes securely without a hitch. I have been using my 5 litre handi almost every day for the last 15 days or so without any complaint. The sound of the whistle is pleasant too. Not as jarring as conventional cookers. After the first whistle, I lower the flame and so haven't faced any sprayed walls and ceiling issue. I would certainly recommend this product and am planning to buy another one. A 3 litre capacity in a different colour this time.

The mark on the lid if aligned with the mark on the right handle, the lid fits without a hitch.
