Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

Hawkins is undoubtedly the leader in pressure cooker makers in India. They make the best quality pressure cookers and this model is no exception. During the lockdown, I had to buy Prestige pressure cooker as that was the only option available at that time in the nearby shop and that turned out to be the worst purchase I ever had, and in just two years that malfunctioned. We are using Hawkins in our family for several years and never had any complaints. Hawkins is long lasting.

It is a wonderful product to use in day to day life, it's small portable handy which makes life easy. As it's hawkins I am not writing about the quality of the product it has to be good but the issue is it's size. If it is a family of 3 it's advised to go with a bigger size.
