I tried first in the oven but couldnt manage the timing. The idle become too hard. It took 3/4 times for me to manage the timing then i switch to gas using my momo set. The mini idle looks too cute and my children loved it.

Idli maker us good, quality is negotiable. But it's not original signoraware. Price on the box is mentioned different from tag. Year of manufacturing is 2014. Good product but a little expensive as this one isn't branded.

Its good and easy to use. Had to cook 4-5 batches to get a hang of it and understand how much time it takes in my microwave.Started with 3 minutes, and then came down to 1.35 minutes and got the perfect mini idlis, which popped out of the moulds without even a spoon and with an okayish texture. Dont expect it to be as soft as the steamed idlis on stove top.
