There is a steam leakage from the lid.Lid automatically comes up during the process.Lid needs to be tight enough or lid locking needs to be thought of.Even the plastic knob provided to lift and place the idly plates is too delicate to lift the hot idly plates.

I was very excited to have a pigeon product but once opened the box I saw that the lid of the cooker is having a dent. Hoping for a replacement!!

Very disappointed with this product.As per the product details - it does not deliver - as mentioned below :1. Bad quality stainless steel, I really don't know if this product will last for two months !2. The pressure control does not work properly, the cover blows open very often during cooking resulting in steam getting out and half cooked idli's.3. The holes at the edges of the idli plates are not finished / polished and some of them are half-cut with the remaining steel connected to it - can damage your hands while cleaning !4. As per the product description it says 8.8 inches - which is the outer frame (the idli maked) inside which the idli plates are placed actually the idli plates are having 4 cavities which will result in 2.6 inches of idli !!5. The idli cavities are not of proper depth - the lower idli plate with batter touches the upper plate while placing inside the idli maker.6. The black plastic (small knob) at the top of the idli plates comes out easily while placing inside or taking out the hot plates from the idli maker - resulting in damaging the entire effort !7. The product does not have any manufacturer warranty card8. The product is only having a black sticker with the manufacturer name and the plastic handles are engraved with the manufacturer name - it seems the plastic handles are only manufactured by the company and the rest is outsourced to some local vendor.Final recommendation : Don't buy !

The outer vessel is of very thin sheet and the stem in the middle does not go easy into plates' centre hole. Find it a waste of investment. Tuff to use

It's a nice stand but having a drawback that steel stand is not user friendly add compared to aluminum one.Quality is good but there ischance of burning hand via evaporation generated while using it which is not the case in aluminum stand

This product is good and can be used easily... Works fine for a good period of time... But if you use this for quite a number of times, don't expect it to be durable... As this a product made of very thin film of steel it don't last for a long period of time... If idli is not your regular break fast you can go for this item... But If you use this regularly like 3 days a week, don't expect it to last for more than a year... Previously bought this item but it lasted only for a year... Only advantage is that idli will cooked within 7 minutes...

Good Stainless steel Idly cooker. Made in India. Go for it. Suits for Indian market.Only downside is the lid gets a bit tight after heating cooker for 20 mins. But can manage with two hands and open.

BUT LITTLE THINNER THAN WE EXPECTED FROM THE BRAND OF PIGEON! AT THE BOTTOM OF THE COOKER, A FLAME MARK OR SOMETHING FOUND IN AFTER FIRST USE! PROOF WITH PICTURE INSERTED! EACH EVERY USAGE,WHISTLE START WORKING WHILE THE IDLYS START BOILING FROM BEGINNING! PLEASE DO ANYTHING TO CONTROL IT! OUR OLD STEAM IDLY COOKER (WITHOUT WHISTL MODEL) TOOK 20 MINUTES TO 16 IDLYS TO BOILING! BUT THIS TOOK ONLY 10 MINUTES FOR 24 IDLYS TO BOILING! OVER-ALL GOOD!
