I have been using alda try ply for some time. Tried my hands on hawkins try ply steel for the first time. Hawkins has never let me down. It is cheaper in cost but no compromise with quality.Solid body, adequate thinkness, a bit heavy.Gifted it to my mom. She has been using it for a month now. Very much happy with no complaints of food burns yet even with dry veg.

Just superb. Works as required. Looks great. No cleaning mess.Just check if you don't need a glass lid then same pan without lid is cheaper.Your maid is gonna love you and so will your wife. It may not be as fancy looking as compared to other brands like Vinod/Bergner, but due to its low key appearance it blends well with other utensils in the kitchen.I have been using it for more than a week, and i had forgotten to season it as well but inspite of that error, no incidents of sticking were found. All one has to do is keep the flame at low/medium, so yes one has to have some patience and can't cook in a hurry. Also, its quite heavy so elderly folks at home will complain handling it, but guess with 3 layers, this can't be avoided. It also cooks more uniformly than other aluminium kadai's, so food tastes better...Cleaning is somewhat difficult, the remains of food tend to stick, one has to soak it for sometime in hot water to remove it. Also, there already are oil stains around the rivets which i can't remove with dishwashing fluids.As per the manual its also not recommended to be put into dishwasher, so that's another point to keep in mind.So, besides cleaning issues, great piece of utensil to have in the kitchen at a very reasonable price compared to the competition

The overall product is very good and heavy. The look and feel is very premium. There are few issues I found-1. Even if you cook it on low and medium flame, the kadai has left some heat marks which was not expected. Although this is not impacting the overall performance of the kadai.2. The second issue is related to the size of the kadai. 2.5 ltr looks bit small for a family of 4-5. Company should have atleast one more higher size option for medium size family.
