It's a product with the quality you expect from Hawkins. It's expensive and you get what you pay for. Just know that it is an induction-base pan, so it will take a longer time to heat up and doesn't get very hot on a gas stove due to the additional layering that is designed for induction.If you are buying this, you probably want to slow-fry veggies/meat, and for that, it's really good. Very evenly distributed heat. Don't expect the high-heat frying performance of a normal "kadai". This wasn't designed for high-heat cooking (like egg fried rice)

This review is more a reminder for me to never buy a product which you intens to use for a long time during sale. The quality of the product is very shoddy. There is dent in the middle of the pan and hence it product does not sit stable. I think they were pushing defective products in the sale period
