I used to use plastic lunch boxes but I moved towards glass for health reasons. After using the Borosil containers for a few days, here are my thoughts:Plus points- Great value for money, 3 boxes and a lunch bag is a good deal for the price.- Good quality: clear glass, thick and robust, the plastic lid is also robust and has a good quality gasket.- Right size for lunch boxesNegatives points:- Heavy but this is because of the thick glass.- The glass container bases do nest in the lids, so if you try to stack them, the container on the top can slide off. Not a good design.- Not a real negative but worth mentioning anyway. The plastic lid comes with moulded hinges for the lock clips. Once they break I hope that replacements are available otherwise the container will end up becoming glass bowls.Update January 2016:The boxes are still in good condition despite regular use. The clip hinges that I was concerned about have held up well so far. However the seals on the lids are not consistent - they leak sometimes. After a couple of slight leakages I've started to carry the boxes in a plastic bag to contain any spilled liquids.So, would I still recommend this product? Yes, I would despite the flaws because the overall quality is very good and the price is reasonable. I'm fairly certain that this type of lid would leak in any brand of container.

Got it a deal price of INR 599... Received the product within 1 day of ordering it under normal delivery (Hats off to Amazon delivery...). Product arrived well packed with no damages considering that the product is fragile......Coming to the product, my wife loves it since it was ordered by her as a replacement to the tiffin she used to carry to work (Earlier tiffin was cello thermoware which alltho' microwaveable was made of plastic). Here the containers are made of borosilicate glass which can withstand high temps...also it is microwaveable and each container comes with a spillproof lid...The entire stack of 3 containers come in a sturdy insulated carrier....This is a very good alternative for all who carry their lunch to work...as glass does not react with food on heating in a microwave unlilke plastic containers.......GO FOR IT.......

The primary reason for me to stop using plastic containers for lunch after several doctors and nutritionists told me to use metal or glass instead of plastic. Apparently, research in Europe has indicated that if hot food us stored in plastic containers for a prolonged period, it tends to become carcinogenic (cancerous). One should especially avoid heating food in plastic containers using microwave ovens. In metals, Aluminium also has been found to have (cancerous), and stainless steel or iron is recommended for cooking.I enjoy lunch with my new Borosil lunchbox set; its a different feeling, I would say more homely as compared to having lunch in plastic boxes. Besides, I feel happier that I am more environment friendly with my new Borosil lunchbox.

Hi all,I purchased 2 Borosil lunch box sets during diwali(2015) lightening deal offer. For long I had been looking for a Borosil lunch box to replace my plastic Tupperware lunch box set due to the fear of toxins released as a result of repeated reheating of food in plastic containers even if they claim its microwave safe. When I found this set I immediately grabbed the offer more so because of the brand known for heat resistant glassware.I have been using it for over two weeks now and I am extremely satisfied with the quality. Its feels very clean to eat my lunch in these containers.Its more than 2 weeks now and the kids don't have any haldi stains ????.The quality of glass is very thick and transparent ( not yellowish like cheap glass). The lids don't leak at all. The lunch bag is also of good quality and the containers fit really well into it.Along with all these benefits it really has a great look and feel; gives an upscale and neat look when I open my lunch in office ????.Only con is since its glass, needs to be handled carefully and its slightly heavier than the plastic boxes. But believe me its worth carrying the weight????.

I got this tiffin for Rs. 630 which was a very good deal. Also, received it in 1 day. So thank you for the quick delivery. It loses 1 star just bcoz of its rubber ring in the lid. If you carry some liquid like dal or gravy, it gets inside the ring. So cleaning becomes a little time consuming. Also, I am afraid the ring will become loose since I remove it everyday for washing. Please let me know if the ring is available separately. Otherwise, I just love my tiffin. Looks very classy too.

It does't spill out liquids as some reviewers have stated here- I find it to be good quality- though the lids are bulky but helps them seal the contents well. The bag is just as it's stated- fits all 3 well and that's about it. No space for anything else, maybe a spoon. I gave it 4 stars coz the size of the boxes sometimes leaves me a bit hungry. A meal for one person should have wee bit more. Perfect packaging for a glass product.

I bought it to be used to carry my lunch which can be re-heated in a microwave as reheating in plastic boxes is not advised for microwave and it is worth it, though it is a little heavy to carry, but a good one. The lid is rubber/plastic and its locks have become loose over a period of time with usage.Buy it only if you plan to reheat your lunch in the same carry boxes as it is glass.

This has been one of finest purchases that I believe is the best gift I gave to myself, Why? Here it is -- My No.1 Reason to buy was its completely made of GLASS and is free of any plastic material that we often carry as lunchboxes. We often make mistake of reheating our lunch in these plastic boxes which are often made in a Chinese factory with all kinds of toxins.We expose ourselves to these toxins when we heat our food in plastic boxes and this is where this is completely SAFE to use.- Second surprise after the purchase to me was - Ease of cleaning. No matter how much stains your food leaves in it - like haldi , oil , masala it gets wiped off in matter of seconds which just a splash of water/hot water. It saves you that time when you are leaving for office at last minute and find your un eaten food still lying in the box. Just clean it , fill it with fresh food and you are good to go.- There is absolutely no after smell of food products even after 3-4 months of use.Often plastic lunchboxes tart smelling of kind of food you carry but not this one , it smells fresh everytime you wash it.Only Problem is this is QUITE HEAVY - But i believe we shall pay the price of carrying it around for all the above faayde it has.Be safe , prefer Glass and do yourself a healthy choice favour !!!Kudos
