Truly great Mathania Chills with great flavour and just the right amount of heat!! And if you take your time to really caramelise these chills the flavour profile just intensifies so much. And great packaging also the bag is thick and strong. I have planted few seeds in my garden lets see if I can grow these chills too. If not, then I have a great source here!!

There a lot of chillis in India which are common and popular. However, the knowledge of this chilli has stayed contained within the Marwar people. According to a report by Central Arid Zone research Institute, Mathania chilli is on the verge of extinction. Now, with Shirsh Masala the beauty of this chilli can be shared across the country, so it can be used and kept alive for the future generations. In terms of the quality of this chilli, there are three points to highlight: color, aroma and flavour. Like a beautiful bouquet of roses, the bright and deep red captivates the senses. The aroma tantalizes and tickles your nose from the moment you open the package. What a gorgeous smell! Finally, the taste. It mild, but deep and distinctive. It leaves a flavour that will dance on your tongue in a very special way. Overall, I would highly recommend as it really adds a unique experience to any recipe, especially if you are using it for Rajasthani preparations. Disadvantages

Since it's my 3rd order for the same chilli, it's about time i write a review... The mathania Mirch, has it's unique taste and flavour, which makes any dish a superb recipe. I mainly use it to make Jungli & Laal Maas. I came to know about it from a Tv Show.. I tried it once and I'm it's fan since then.. You can use in Daal, Sabji, pulaao, Biryani.. Anything.. And it'll only bring more taste to your dish. I'm happy to find such a different tasting mirch. Now regarding seller, i haven't tried other seller's mirch .. so don't know much about comparison.. But if i try it in future, will let you know.. Update:- I didn't saw the chilli for about a month and it has bug infestation now!! The chilli wasn't dried enough before packing by the seller, hence the infestation.. I had to spend almost an hour seperating good and intact chilli from the bad ones .. This happened with for the 2nd time .. 1st i thought it was my mistake but now i know it isn't. You should try a different seller atleast once for mathania Mirch, there are several on Silkrute now .. The main issue with the chilli was 30% was old stock, mixed up with the new, that's where the infestation began and infected nearly half of my chilli.. Didn't expected from a seller who has good ratings ..
