The scent is one of the best out there. But thats it, nothing more. Not good for sensitive skin. Its simply a soap that smells good and has no moisturiser. I probably won’t be even using it after the 2 times that i tried.

This is a nice soap. There are not too many shaving soaps in a reasonable price range available in India. Either one has to rely on the Godrej Shaving round (Rs. 25) or buy something ultra-expensive costing thousands of rupees. This is where a couple of companies have found a niche and Pink Woolf is one of them. The soap is great, with a mild, refreshing scent that does not overpower. The whiff of sandalwood is just perfect. It lathers well - both in the box and in a bowl, so all-round, this works very well for me. Great experience with the product. They also sent a sample of their pre-shave oil for me to try. Very sweet gesture, that! But this is a five-star review more because of the personal engagement on part of the seller. The hand-written note and follow-up email were a cool touch and not something one sees often. Wet-shaving is a niche hobby and any kind of engagement by the sellers with the enthusiasts is highly appreciated. Keep up the good work guys.

The product was received a day earlier. Thanks to Amazon as always. The seller sent a sample of the shaving cream and a hand written note. Great gesture and speaks about the commitment and passion of the seller. Coming to the product itself; having used the Oudh and sandal soap earlier, I was really curious to lay my hands on this new offering from Pink Woolf. And dare I say they have surpassed my expectations. The scent of the Soap is very refreshing and mild. The lather is rich and it stays for a long time. This leads to a very smooth shaving experience. Further, I didn't feel any itching or burning sensation after the shave. The face felt adequately moisturised. Thanks Team Pink Woolf for an excellent product.

This is the first time I've bought a shaving soap and this is definitely a step up from regular shaving creams and gels (I won't even mention foam). The smell is exactly what you imagine, sandalwood and oudh. One additional thing I like is how the shaving brush smells long after you've used it. The shave quality is discernably better than usual. I really appreciate the personal note than came with this soap and a small bottle of aftershave(I don't think everyone would get that)

The soap came in a compact container which looked nice, the soap is very good in consistency and it lathers really well, it may however dry up fast on your face so just keep applying a little water every now and then. The aroma is really masculine and it leaves the skin feeling really moisturized and clean. I had the best shave ?? with it ????

The lather and smell is the best shave quality definitely increases with the soap. With decent brush and with high quality brush lather making is best way i.e.don't use cheap bursh. After shave fragrance is the best feeling,but makes skin dry so keep that in mind,but overall definitely good product worth the money.

I have been shaving since 1996 where more than half that time I was wet shaving. Have used shaving soaps from around the world like the 3Ts of London, Proraso, D.R. Harris, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Tabac, Mystic Water, Mike's Natural etc and even Floris, Penhaligon's and Dior. Not everything has worked for me. The same products that many felt were good have failed to produce desirable results for me and many others. So, yes, your mileage may vary. But I seriously doubt it. Used it for 7 shaves so far and it failed to produce even one good shave. In my experience so far the soap lathers are slicker and less cushiony compared to a cream of equal quality. The lathers that this soap produced were neither slick nor cushiony. Whenever I tried face lathering, no matter how much I loaded the lather dissipated on the second pass. When I tried bowl lathering the lather was voluminous but again contained visible bubbles and even after trying to swirl the brush around for more than 10 mins the bubbles weren't gone but the lather starts to dissipate. It's cheap, smells so wonderful. I really really wanted to like this. But this is the reality. It just can't seem to produce usable lather. On some occasions I had to use a canned foam, which I keep for days when I need a quick "okay" shave, halfway during the shave. The lather this soap produced was that bad, plain bad. It's the kind of lather that could turn a man away towards canned foams. Have you seen the foam formed by seawater that hits the shores? The lather this soap produces is comparable to that. Yes, it's that very very bad. Since I don't have that much time to waste in the mornings I even tried building practice lathers some days in the evening to find the sweet spot for the soap. There doesn't seem to be any. It seems to be totally incapable of producing any usable lather. Not even one good enough for a single pass shave. Tried the Marco Method, still nothing. Just airy lather that has no thickness or creaminess. Keep swirling and it vanishes into thin air. Finally, with a heavy heart, I had to let go of it. Disposed off the remains. Yes it is waste of money. But I can't waste any more of my time with this product and still get a horrible shave. Going to try Trigodon next. Hope that is better at least. Again I really wanted to like this product. It smells awesome. But the lather is horrendous, to say the least. Hope some improvement is done is this regard.
