JRC is today a trusted name in the spice masala herb pickle and dry fruit business. However it was the vision and goodwill of its founder the late Shri Jagat Ram Sharma who perceived a brighter tomorrow. The company was founded in 1948 by the late Shri Jagat Ram and the late Shri Tota Ram. The late Shri Jagat Ram was as much known for philanthropy as he was for his perseverance and principles. People still remember fondly the times when every afternoon he would sit outside his store with Chana (Bengal gram) and Gur (Jaggery) and dole out a fistful to every kid who would pass his shop by. Apart from his kindness his highly ethical business practices made him a revered name across the community. Such was his respect that the market later came to be known as "Tota Ram Bazaar“ after his shop's name.
