Disadvantages
The following points should be taken care of by the manufacturers before puting their produce for sale as a Bengali side dish !* BORI or dried lentil dumplings are essentially an important ingredient in most Bengali homes & there are numerous variants for different purposes as pasta varieties are to the Italians .* This posto BORI does not qualify in any particular category or serves no purpose as the producers have not taken the pains to know what BORI s are meant for !* The posto BORI is primarily prepared from biuli/ urad dal paste whipped to a crazy lather so that a small quantity is so aerated that it floats on water ! Apart from POSTO DANA other ingredients are KUSUM BEEJ , KALO JIRA / KALONJI & most important a proportionate amount of SALT .* The BORI s are neither aerated nor smaller in size to be had as a side dish with preferably the staple masoor / moong / arhar or urad dal preparation , Bengalis love to have these dumplings as stir friend with the dal , just like fish & finger chips to others !* Taste also not upto the mark as pure urad dal product should taste , I have extensive experience of many types of BORIs , both homemade as well procured from other sources !* Only the packaging is upto the mark & nothing else sorry MON BANGLA , better luck next time , pricing is irrational !Second opinion after second purchase,"Painstakingly laid by hand , excellent craftsman/womanship, a little more amount of salt is required to be added to enhance taste, posto seeds are in negligible quantity, not much of urad / biuli dal taste is felt , improvement is needed to offset high cost of ordering almost @ ? 800 per kilo !
