I was very shocked with the packing. The Silkrute packing had a very foul and repulsive smell which went down to the plastic box as well as the plastic wrapper in which the Jaggery was packed. Jaggery also became very smelly. Unfortunately it is not a returnable item. Otherwise, I always find the quality of jaggery to be good.

Good, pure jaggery. No dirt or grime, and it tastes very good. Only problem is the packaging as mentioned. We took a chance, but the container was entirely damaged.The plastic was literally in pieces, and fortunately it didn't contaminate the jaggery. We put the exposed part of the jaggery in boiling hot water for decontamination just in case. Will think before ordering again.
