I really dont know the original flavour of molasses. However I am using this one in my cooking and there is no unusual or off flavour in my dishes. This molass tastes extra sweet and gives a mild sour aftertaste. So use a little lesser than the recipe demands.

I had ordered 4 bottles. Right now we are on the 3rd bottle. While we are happy with the product, this time the 2nd bottle had molasses of a totally different consistency. It was not at all a liquid. It was a THICK paste. Maybe it was more concentrated. If so, this is preferred
